This should kill a couple more hours. First party in a long time

Tonight (or should I say today now that it's finally after midnight) is going to be an interesting one. And the story leading up to it is also interesting so let me back up. This is going to be a long blog entry.

Okay Spring break came and gone. I was able to successfully complete my doctors appointment and fill the prescription that I needed that's keeping me off the pot on Monday. Unfortunately I did something totally stupid and took a narcotic painkiller in my Mom's room the day of the appointment to get rid of a bad headache. The previous day I'd been partying all night and drove home from Hermiston at about two pm that next day. Why the hell was I in Hermiston? Read on.

Jared Johnson. You guys might recognize that name from blog entries back in like 2012. I had a huge crush on him when he was in my sociology class at CBC. The situation was interesting because Josie Day also happened to be in that class and was very into Jared's best friend Joan. That had been going on forever and might still be to this day, who knows. Joan moved away to college and Josie is still in the tri-cities I believe, I'm not friends with either of them on facebook so I wouldn't know what they've been up too these days. Anyway, Jared and I met on facebook that year and he was originally a total snob and ignored my interest in him completely. That obviously made me like him more.

About a year later I remember we hung out a few times at his Dad's place. We got along well because we're both kind of smart asses, but we're also both extremely stubborn so we butt heads about things a lot. He's kind of defensive about being masculine so he'll occasionally say things that are kind of offensive without really trying. I guess some would say "he's a bit of a dick." But most guys I've been attracted to are that way. Jared and I never dated, though, I guess the romantic vibe isn't really there. We hadn't talked in months when he texted me when I was at Goodwill the previous day with my Dad. He was taking me out to buy a new pair of Nikes that I was super happy about.

He told me that there was a party happening that he'd "really like to see me at." I was like okay, sweet! I had made some plans with this guy Riley this here in Ellensburg but decided to flake out on that like he's flaked on me so many times. Jared's plans sounded more solid and like a blast so I anticipated a good time.

That day Jared had texted me saying the party was going to be between 9-10 and by 10:00 we hadn't talked since like 8:10. We'd been texting back and forth and he changed the address twice. The second time I had to call him and bitch that he hadn't gotten ahold of me when I was waiting. Actually at this point I thought he had flaked. I had been playing guitar that night when I was all dolled up and ready to go and took this snap:

So here's me in the basement practicing the Unforgiven. You can see what I wore that night, a orange shirt I got at goodwill that actually turned out to be really flattering and some high heeled wedges. Overall a very cute outfit. When I showed up to this mobile home park in Kennewick Jared saw me and was like "Wow, you look so beautiful... It's not one of "those" kind of parties." Like I was overdressed. I laughed and said 'yeah I should have brought a jacket' because I saw some people hanging out outside. He then said, "Every girl at that party is watching you and hating you so much right now." I'm like, "Wth, why?" Sort of made me feel anxious upon walking in..

But everyone was actually super chill and nice. I didn't realize what the occasion was until I saw a huge card on the table for this girl Julia. So that's when I just started doing the usual, meeting people, asking people questions about where they live and work, etc... I rarely start out by going off about myself because if I did people would think I'm a snob. The best way to get to know people initially is to be a spring board. Let their conversations revolve around them and bounce back at them.

The girls seemed really nice. Most were either friends of Julia's or lived in the house that we were hanging out in. One of the girls that lived there was really cute and pregnant. We had a good conversation over by the beer pong table because she told me she was interested in accounting and finance too. It takes a lot of guts to go into this field, community college or not. I remember how hard my second accounting class was at CBC I dropped it because I couldn't juggle it with Japanese. Decided to wait until I got to CWU. Anyway, this is where the beginning of this would-to-be soap opera launches.

This tall guy with just incredible blue eyes caught my glance when I was sitting in the living room with Jared at the couches. Jared was sort of preoccupied with people watching and talking to other girls, which was cool. Being there as friends we were kind of eachother's wing man in some sense even if we planned to go back to his place that night after we'd had a few.

Anyway I smiled at him and he just stood for a second like, okay, I want to talk to this girl. I could tell. Especially when Jared and I started talking about some random irrelevant shit and this guy jumped into the conversation. Suddenly his beer pong buddy ditches and he asks me to play with him. Jared decides to go out back and kick it with some people he went to highschool with. Everything was cool.

Okay, I'm not gonna say our first conversation was like this 'perfect omg finishing eachothers sentences' crap but we kind of hit it off. He's a year older than me and has a beard which has always been kind of something I've always been attracted too. Especially with those wooden pipes and lumberjack boots... hmmm... Uhm okay, like I was saying..

He was asking about what I was going to school for and I told him to someday be a financial analyst of some kind. I told him pretty bluntly, "I like math and money." Ha ha ha. I just got enacted the Finance club senator and representative this upcoming Monday, it's what I'm into. He told me that's awesome that I'm in school and that he is currently a manager at a plumbing supply outlet.

Having learned in marketing about how the system works, I can pretty clearly imagine what his job was be like. He has very difficult hours because deliveries and inquiries need to be done at night so the plumbers can have the supplies they need for the next day's contract. He's a manager of a group of people at a warehouse at 24, that's not doing bad for himself at all. He also has a welding certification.

Ha ha you know honestly, even if taking that welding class at ki-be was hell at the time, it has won me so many points making conversation with country boys over the years. Because they all freaking love welding metal for some reason and having taken that class I can -kind of- speak their language.

Anyway. We exchanged first and last names (implying I wanted to add him on facebook. I was being very low key about it because I came with someone else and didn't want to be rude). We added eachother that night, and after we lost a beerpong game pretty quickly against the reigning champs I sat down at the couch messing around with my phone and we parted ways. It wasn't long before I was talking music nerd to some dude who's brother plays guitar. He also sings and likes some good rock. Anyway it wasn't long before Jared came over and sat down, we talked for a little while longer, and Jared wanted to step outside.

We ended up leaving a little earlier than Jared acted like he wanted to leave at. That was fine though, considering I had a feeling I'd be driving us to Hermiston because there was no way in hell he was going to be able to find a taxi in the tri cities at 2 in the morning to drive us over the Washington border. Luckily that night I had kept my drinking extremely slow and steady, like I think I had 3-4 beers tops during the four hours we were there. And a jello shot when I first got there.

So I was feeling a *tiny* bit tipsy. Barely. I knew I'd have to drive us home and turned on my music, driving extremely focused and not saying a word all the way to hermiston. With just a tiny bit of alcohol in my system, I am still incredibly worried about our safety and my own wellbeing so I had my metal blasting and eyes locked firmly on the road.

Anyway the rest of the night was pretty much like a sleepover between two buddies. We watched netflix and ate fast food.

That night I found myself messing around on my phone and looking at that guy's facebook. I saw he had some family from the South, he liked snowboarding, saw that he had a tattoo... So I commented on the tattoo, "Badass" and he responded, "Thanks do you have any?" or something really basic like that.

At this point I didn't even realize the girl who's birthday it was the previous night was Taylor's ex girlfriend. Jared had mentioned this and said "Recently. And they're that couple that always has drama." And I'm like interesting... Lo and behold, that next morning while I was doing my makeup Jared said to me, "Julia called you out.." and I'm like what?

I look on there and she's giving this rant like, "Oh wow didnt you come with jared johnson? and you guys added eachother fast!! isn't that funny?" something-bullshit-something.

So I wrote back, "Jared's my friend. I was at a party and met a new friend, isn't that the point of a party?" and she wrote back, "Not this one. Move on." I didn't see that for awhile because Jared and I were watching Walking Dead. When I got back online around 2 pm, I went back on his profile and was so sad when I found out he deleted me!!

And this is after Jared tells me this is always the couple having drama so I'm of course like, 'waitwaitwait.." like if this guy added me just to make his ex jealous and play some game I'm like hell no, too old for that crap. I messaged him saying "What the hell, you deleted me? Well if this is just part of a game between you and your ex that you used me as a pawn in you should go have a nice life, bye:)"  He apologized and said he hadn't wanted to delete me.

Alrighty then. So having just ignored that we're not friends, we proceeded to talk and have really gotten along these past four days or so. I hadn't had my phone at all this week so it did make this week a lot more entertaining.

Yeah definitely a weird situation but interesting.
peace.

What good could be going down in Saticoy

A couple days ago I went on a short hike with my aunt, sister, cousin Zoe and her friend Kaeli. I spend some time laying on these rocks while  they were checking out the tidepools (I was wearing Yoga pants and didn't want them to get icky on the bottom).

Wow, has it literally been four days since I've written.

I've had an interesting few days to say the least so this blog is going to be long, just warning you now. Right now I'm at my Grandma's house alone in this dead silent house. Just splurged the last of my Christmas money before I had a chance to waste it on the rest of this trip on food. I'm broke as sh*t but I think I've got a good chance at scoring this office assistant position at the school if Sipic puts a good word in for me.

Teeny-tiny default picture of my uncle John from his facebook profile. I haven't seen him in years.

So lets back up to the 27th. My uncle John invited us over to come have his WORLD FAMOUS chicken tacos. The day before there had definitely been a lot of talk between my aunt and mother about who would be going to John's house because we were all invited but they had other plans for the evening. My aunt felt uncomfortable because my cousin had just moved out into John's house and she thought he would bring it up.

We all figured it'd just be best if just the "kids" went-- Me, Avery, Kylea, and Zoe. We took the van up to his nice house in Paso at around 6 after taking the hike. John and I had a great time drinking and talking about old times, music, our lives and my family. We also talked a lot about my cousin JJ (He goes by John, full name "John Jr." but I still call him JJ) and how he wasn't able to be there because he's getting into some dirty business. That's been on my mind a lot during this trip. I've been able to keep in contact with him on facebook and he had said he was coming but now that I've been here I think it'd be nearly impossible. He keeps on changing location every time I talk to him.

Like today he's in Saticoy, California. That's near Ventura about 2 and a half hours away from here. If I were to drive there myself I might as well drive all the way to LA while I'm at it. No vehicle, no money, not happening.

Yesterday I was hungover and mainly hung out at the house until I went over to Dales at around 4. Dale was an extreme introvert for many years and after my Jewish uncle Robert died she's been able to spend more time with us. Like Robert would never want anyone to come over to their house, even me. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to do so, however, and get my own box of unique stickers from Dale's collection.

She lives in a Duplex over in Paso that could be compared to a "hoarder" house but it didn't make me uncomfortable to hang out there for a few hours. Though I did experience some inconvenience when I was trying to access some sticker drawers that were located behind a huge Christmas tree and a collection of dolls that proved to be quite difficult. She was really welcoming though and encouraged me to take any stickers that I want. And I did. My bike is going to have LOTS of new additions when I get back, including the awesome Pantera sticker my Dad got me for Christmas. The stickers will also of course be used for practice sheets and goal checklists and stuff like that.

Today I've had a bit of a headcold so I had the plan to stay here and play guitar all day but so far that's been a complete fail. Cooking is a huge inconvenience here because of my Grandmother's cast-iron skillets that burn things, the electric stove and the lack of usable ingredients. More than half the shit in her cabinets is Gluten-free, like the pancakes she made this morning that tasted gummy and disgusting. My Dad somehow ate them without complaint though which was bizarre because nobody else in my family could. What the Hell, my Dad's normally the pickiest eater on earth.

Honestly I'm really starting to miss my cat and look forward to heading home. We're leaving on the 1st which is only a few days away but then I've gotta survive the lonnnnng drive home with my parents. Better charge my DS.

peace.

Batman Premier!

Yesterday was great because after work I saw the midnight premier of the new Batman movie with Trisha and Dylan. We went to the Pasco theater and it was really crowded, all of the screens were playing the same thing, it was a big deal. I saw a few people that I knew, like Jared and his friend Juan. Trisha had actually bought my ticket for me a week ago when they'd invited me.

I got a fever last night because of stress and exhaustion. I've been out a lot, spending time with people and had a great time for a few days. I should probably stay home for awhile, I spent a good chunk of my last paycheck being out so much. I'm always using too much gasoline because it's so expensive to drive back and forth from Benton city.

That is something I will NOT miss. When I did talk to Jack he actually made a pretty good point that eased my stress about leaving for school.

"You will eat, sleep, and shit where you go to school. You have way more time on your hands than you know what to do with and have to join things to fill your time..."

That's basically what he said. That's so true, though, now that I think about it. I need to start looking for a job up there because it's going to be way more competitive once I get up there. I don't even know if I want a job from the get go and maybe should just focus on my studies for my first quarter there. But having NO income scares the living crap out of me so I need to get on the ball immediately. Just 15-20 hours a week is still all I'd need.

It's 8:32 pm and I've had zero motivation to practice guitar. I stayed up so late last night that I thought for sure I'd wake up with a horrible fever but I didn't after sleeping in until 11 or so. Dylan and Trisha are so laid back and cool to hang out with, it's all good. I've got a lot of awesome friends.

I can't find any of my claytons. I'm always leaving them places because I'm always carting my guitar around.. either to jam with someone or for lessons or I have to take it out of my car because it's too hot.

peace.

Making little traveling plans...

Right now I'm sitting at Robert's house with Skyler in Robert's living room.

This has been pretty fun, it's always nice catching up with Robert. I played a couple things that I've learned with him, but not Skyler. Tool's songs are just so fudging long that it's hard to play it for anyone without feeling like it's show-y. The songs that I play are nothing like Metallica though, way more basic and slower paced. Some of the timing is a little tricky, but nothing too demanding like some of the Metallica is.

I took that random dog picture from Robert's computer. I do that every time I'm using somebody else's computer to write a blog.

Wow, Skyler's playing is pretty incredible. They're a huge inspiration for me to keep playing. They clearly have been working their asses off at it for months on end. I've been going for uhmmmm.... 3 months now? Just gotta keep practicing I guess.

Right now my car is in the shop so I'm gonna be stuck here for a little while.. the shop meaning some random guy's garage that my dad knows. Apparently he's going to repair a bunch of stuff that will make my car as good as new. My dad is also paying off the car completely so that it's 100% mine. In my amateur accounting language no longer a payable, it's equipment, an asset to ME! But the depreciation on this equipment makes it valued far lower than what I've paid for it. lol, don't think I'm taking myself seriously good Lord. That's what I hate about accounting, there's so much jargon.

I'm about ready to go home. I can already tell where this is going.

So now that finals are over, I'm on Spring break!

What am I going to do this whole time? I have no clue at all. Probably play a lot of guitar, smoke a lot of bud, play sims, hang out with friends... what I'd usually do on the weekends. I hope it doesn't fly by too quickly, I could use a good break from school. I got pretty burnt out there for a minute. All I would need to see is my grade GPA from the previous quarter to want to keep going, but sometimes it's really hard to push forward when all I want to do is....

That's the thing. I don't know what I want to do. I'm soo bored at school and with the school routine, yet I'm also sooo bored with my at home routine. Bored, but comfortable. Also comfortable with my lame work hours. Comfortable with getting up early practically every morning. Like me and Robert started our day off really early. I realized that I had to pay for Spring tuition so I texted Robert about it (who I thought was coming over)and he realized he hadn't paid it either. We were at the school at about 10 this morning and now here it is only 12' pm. I sort of like this morning routine, I get a lot more done.

Maybe I just need a change of scenery. Yeah, I need to get out and take a trip. I know Connor likes road trips, and I'd be down to spend a little money to go spend a day in Seattle. Walking around, maybe shop at Uwajimaya with my Japanese prowess, yeah that would be really fun. I mean it's not like I'm working every single day during spring break, and once my car gets prepared I'm going to be good to go. The only problem is that I don't know if Connor would necessarily have the money for it. That and I don't know if he'd want to go. We had a lot of fun last weekend but it's still a touchy situation. And it's not that I really have strong feelings for him again, I just like spending time with him and he'd be fun to travel with. Like he'd make it an adventure.

So it's decided! This spring break, at some point, I'd like to take a little road trip and maybe even do a little clothes shopping or something. I'll have to make this trip semi-purposeful. What's something that I need... well, nothing really. Just to get out.

peace.

57. Handling cold turkey just fine, and staying home to save money.

Maybe Bronkaid doesn't do as much for me as I thought.

Though today I was a bit lathargic, I didn't feel nearly as warn out as I thought I would. Maybe I'm not going to get the withdrawels I expected. I did wake up feeling really dizzy from a nap today, though. Yeah... I took a nap, that's a first for a long time. I think that was more due to a little bit of loneliness and knowing I wasn't really going to do anything tonight.

But that was one of my goals for today-- don't drive anywhere extra. It costs so much money to drive into town now. I hate that the gas prices keep creeping up, but at least I have a job and I'm getting good hours. I've got a lot to be thankful for.

Today overall was pretty good, I did well on my accounting quiz, got MAJOR props from Sensee today in Japanese about how well me and Hannah do with speaking, and drove Hannah back to her car after it broke down this morning. Yep, always good to help people once when I can. She really seemed to appreciate it too, she was practically freaking out when she showed up this morning telling me she almost got in a car crash this morning because of the random ice on the roads in just Pasco.

It was trippy, I was driving to school and it was totally dry and not even that cold out in Benton City and Richland, but the second I hit pasco it was just like ICE. Everywhere.

I've got some goals to get to tonight. One of which is to study for my accounting quiz tomorrow, and also get an envelope ready with some money that I'm sending this girl that is lonnng overdue. I'm doing okay, things are gonna be alright without Bronkaid.

peace.

~4~ The room situation gets a step crazier.

Just because this picture is funny.
Get some Mr. Slave.

Sup yall?

Today is officially ~4~. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's something personal. Only a couple of my closest friends know about it. I'm not going to go into detail, but all I can say is it's going to be a long road but I know that once it's over I'm going to feel way better about myself. Even if it's only been four days, I think it is very important that I continue to do this. Maybe in awhile, if it continues, I will tell you guys what exactly it is.

Dad just came upstairs to get himself something to eat. It's going to be a sort of late night for me. After I get done with this blog I'm going to play some Wii dance for some cardio.. I wish I could set up the DDR but I can't find one of the cords for the PS2. Then I'm gonna do some pilates. Clean up the kitchen a bit. My dad just got himself a bowl of cereal and probably left all the stuff out. Wait, let me go check...

...He left the box of wheat chex open, but that's it. I'm surprised, he usually leaves the milk out, some random dishes on the counter, some openned cereal bag out spilling a little bit on the counter. Ehh, who am I kidding, I'm pretty messy too. I look around and all of the clutter is MY stuff because my mom isn't here to yell at me about putting my backpack in my room. I've been spending a lot of time in the living room because there's no TV on, sooo nice and peaceful. I bet my sister, mom and Denae are having a good time in California-- but here in just two days my trip is going to be way better. : )

So apparently Eddie is going now. Which is now... Patrick, Patrick's friend Louie, Samantha, Shawn, Eddie and me. That's six people in a hotel room for four. I'm having a feeling I'm going to end up sleeping on the floor. I assume Shawn and Samantha are going to take one bed, but then who is taking the other one. I don't intend on sleeping in the same bed as anybody, considering that everyone else that's going besides Samantha is male.

I'm getting concerned that I'm going to be puking at night because there's going to be men in the hotel room. Hopefully not, though. Hopefully i'll be so exausted that it won't matter.... Plus, yeah, they're all guys but they aren't anyone that I'd be dating or anything. It's funny, in the nights that me and Guy have slept together I've never told him that I've never been able to sleep a wink with him. Every single time I found myself rolling around, cuddling up to him, getting semi-comfortable... then he rolls in some awkward position or I get sick of his breath in my face or I need a glass of water or have to go to the bathroom. Or i'm puking like at Katelynn's that one night. Errg. Why can't I just force myself to relax and sleep? I'll probably be taking a lot of melatonin on the night that I actually NEED sleep.

That's the thing, because I'm volunteering I sort of have to get sleep on the 16th. Though the original plans were getting hammered and partying all night, now that I consider the group I don't think that's going to be happening. Not saying I have anything wrong with that, it's totally fine. i'm going to have a blast there no matter what. Just not the *kind of* blast that I was originally predicting. I can have a lot of fun sober, it doesn't matter to me. I don't want to make anyone in the room uncomfortable or paranoid because technically speaking, I'm underage... yeah.

Today was pretty gruesome. So much studying math. I got up at 6 am this morning, went off to school at 7 and started studying in the S building to try and grasp as much as I could before the big test. I think I did.... okay. Maybe horrible. I don't know, it was hard but I felt like I did at least some of it right. My work was hella messy. I'm not doing any damn math homework tonight but I'll probably have too tomorrow. i'm also gonna have to do my lab report write up. Get everything done so I can have a fun, stress free weekend.

Everyone that is going is only going to be paying $33 for two nights at the hotel. The problem is GETTING the money by this friday. I have tomorrow to round everyone up at some point, as well as Friday. I'm gonna be getting the money from Patrick after his work at 10' PM. Another trip to wal mart, that's the third day in a row. Ick. Nobody has paid me yet, but I would really, REALLY like to get the money before we all leave because we are all leaving at different times and I'd like to be able to check into the hotel without paying a fortune and then waiting for everyone to pay me back. Plus, this con is going to be expensive.. I don't want people suddenly saying that they spent their money and they'll have to pay me back later. Nooo way. Though I am happy to say that did not happen last year and everyone was very responsible and reasonable with me. I get pretty touchy on the subject. I've pretty much coordinated this get together by making the hotel reservations and keeping people updated, and I'd appreciate getting paid the money for the hotel promptly enough. I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Man, the insane amount of planning that has gone into this con for me. I really hope everyone has a good time. I guess the planning is half the fun of it. I'm also looking forward to the drive up there, even if I'm a bit concerned about my car. As I've mentioned, i'm going alone. Everyone is taking seperate cars this year, probably due to rumors of my crazy driving last year. hahaha

I also had biology today and got my test back-- 96%! Woo! I'm so happy, I only missed 2 out of the 50 questions! I am pretty good at this highschool biology class. (^_^)<- Yes, I used the sappy proud face. What better occasion. Just a note, by the way, I hate when people use that smiley unless it's me. What a hypocrite, right?

Better get going. Dishes are done, gotta put in the new ones.

yours,
Emily
